Electrical Association is seeking a Manager of Electrical Engineering to enhance our dynamic team. We specialize in the design and production of advanced humidification systems tailored to meet diverse client needs.

With over 50 years of expertise, we have established ourselves as leaders in humidification solutions, catering to various sectors including commercial, healthcare, and industrial applications.


Position Summary

The Electrical Engineering Manager will oversee the strategic planning and execution of electrical and electronic design processes, component selection, and software systems development for our products and controls.

This role involves directing the integration of innovative systems and technologies across our product line, while also developing best practices to enhance electrical development processes and product quality.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to drive new product development and address field challenges. Additionally, the manager will be responsible for staffing and contractor management.


Team Management

Lead the electrical engineering team to deliver high-quality solutions within set timelines and budgets. Foster team engagement and support career development initiatives.

Work closely with Manufacturing and Sourcing teams to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

Participate in critical project milestone reviews, including design and gate reviews, to ensure electrical systems meet required standards.

Support corrective action initiatives with Quality and Technical Support teams.

Keep management informed of industry trends and their potential impact on our market position.


Electrical Engineering Responsibilities

Oversee the development of electromechanical systems, including controllers and power circuits, based on product specifications.

Develop test plans to validate component and system performance against reliability criteria.


Software/Hardware Development

Assist in the design and development of electronic control systems to fulfill product requirements.

Lead the schematic capture and development of control hardware and software for both internal and external projects.

Coordinate with external programming resources as necessary.


Compliance and Approvals

Understand and navigate the differences in safety requirements across North American and international markets.

Interpret agency standards to facilitate compliant design solutions and ensure products meet international safety approval processes.


Technical Expertise

Provide expert knowledge in Electrical Engineering principles to design HVAC equipment, controls, and related systems.

Act as the technical authority in electronics and software, educating colleagues on relevant issues and opportunities.


General Responsibilities

Ensure that all processes prioritize employee safety and comply with relevant regulations.

Continuously seek improvements in products and processes to exceed customer expectations while adhering to quality standards.

Stay informed on industry trends and participate in training and trade shows to maintain technical expertise.

Promote a safe work environment and report any safety concerns promptly.

Travel may be required occasionally.

Foster a positive workplace culture through respectful and collaborative interactions with all stakeholders.


Experience and Qualifications

A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering.

Proven leadership in cross-functional project teams and experience in hardware/firmware control systems development.

Ability to manage complex projects independently.

Experience with international product design and compliance requirements.

Strong background in selecting optimal components and circuit designs for sustainable product development.


Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering is required; an advanced degree is a plus.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CAD tools is desired.
