Overview:
A prominent Tier 1 OEM is in search of a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer to enhance their expanding team.


About the Role:
As a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in steering our quality assurance initiatives, ensuring that our production processes adhere to and surpass the highest quality benchmarks.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, execute, and uphold quality assurance protocols and methodologies for transforming raw materials into finished goods.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analyses for any deviations in manufacturing processes and product flaws, and formulate corrective measures to avert future occurrences.
  • Champion the adoption of Lean Six Sigma and 8D problem-solving techniques to refine manufacturing operations and foster ongoing enhancement.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize workflows, minimize waste, and elevate product quality.
  • Provide expert guidance and quality oversight to junior engineers and the manufacturing workforce.
  • Employ statistical evaluations to gauge process capabilities, identify critical quality metrics, and pinpoint opportunities for process enhancement.
  • Oversee the assessment of manufacturing and support process documentation to ensure alignment with corporate quality standards.
  • Educate manufacturing staff on quality assurance practices and process improvement strategies.

Qualifications:
To qualify for the Lead Quality Assurance Engineer position, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Quality Engineering capacity within a manufacturing setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 quality management frameworks.
  • A solid grasp of 8D problem-solving techniques and root cause analysis.
  • Expertise in statistical analysis and the application of quality enhancement tools.
