Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing and optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and maintain high-quality standards. This role involves assessing production capabilities, determining workflow, and ensuring operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and refine manufacturing methods in alignment with evolving technologies and equipment.
  2. Prepare cost assessments for new and existing products, employing value engineering techniques to minimize manufacturing expenses.
  3. Evaluate the manufacturability of new designs, providing insights on production efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  4. Propose alternative manufacturing strategies that meet performance, quality, and budgetary requirements.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to address quality and productivity challenges throughout the product lifecycle.
  6. Identify needs for capital equipment and tooling, overseeing procurement and implementation processes.
  7. Represent the manufacturing perspective in product development teams, ensuring readiness for new product launches.
  8. Assist in qualifying new suppliers and components by establishing necessary requirements.
  9. Implement lean manufacturing and six sigma methodologies to enhance productivity and quality.
  10. Resolve manufacturing issues to optimize resource utilization and product quality.
  11. Demonstrate strong communication skills and foster positive employee relations.
  12. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications and software.
  • Strong personal discipline and ability to work independently.
  • Effective presentation skills.
  • Technical proficiency and aptitude.
  • Flexibility to provide support across multiple shifts.
