Position Summary

The role of an Industrial Engineering Intern involves contributing to the production of medical device equipment. This position is hands-on and reports directly to the Production Supervisor. You will play a crucial role in identifying production challenges, collaborating with various teams to implement lean methodologies, and enhancing operational efficiency.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing operational workflows to boost productivity and efficiency.
  • Designing streamlined production processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with quality standards in all processes.
  • Minimizing waste and resolving production challenges.
  • Reviewing and optimizing production schedules and specifications.
  • Utilizing data analysis to drive technological enhancements in production.
  • Establishing controls to manage costs and reduce production issues.
  • Assessing potential facility locations and planning facility layouts.
  • Collaborating with departments to create and refine production standards.
  • Designing layouts and staffing requirements for production operations.
  • Assisting in the development of training materials for production staff.
  • Ensuring safety protocols are followed and addressing safety concerns.
  • Creating process documentation and reports.

Internship Experience

Interns will gain exposure to various operational and product development aspects within Bracco Medical Technologies. They will learn essential requirements for working in a regulated environment, particularly in the medical device sector.

Qualifications

  • Current undergraduate students pursuing a degree in manufacturing, industrial, electrical, mechanical, systems, or biomedical engineering.

Work Hours

  • Part-time position, requiring 24-32 hours per week.
