POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Leadership Events Development Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the designated revenue portfolio meets its financial targets. This role involves organizing various events, including luncheons, dinners, galas, and other special gatherings as assigned.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Revenue Generation (80%): Drive the defined revenue goals for Leadership Events while providing leadership and direction to the volunteer team throughout the assigned portfolio.
  • Implement campaign strategies and fundraising objectives that align with the Society's overall mission.
  • Oversee the budget for Leadership Events, ensuring effective tracking and management of revenue and expenses, while providing regular updates and projections to supervisors.
  • Utilize market analysis and competitive insights to inform future fundraising strategies.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with corporate partners and individual donors, ensuring exceptional service for all contributors.

Collaboration (10%):

  • Work closely with various Society departments to align market strategies with organizational priorities and foster team development.
  • Collaborate with the Individual Giving and Major Gift Team to maintain a cohesive approach to major donors who are also event participants or sponsors.
  • In partnership with market leadership and corporate teams, cultivate relationships with donors, sponsors, and vendors.
  • Ensure proper mechanisms are in place for receiving and accounting for donations and expenses.
  • Coordinate with the Marketing department to enhance the Society's outreach and revenue generation.
  • Maintain accurate donor records in the national database and facilitate donor recognition.

Volunteer Engagement (10%):

  • Expand the volunteer base focused on Leadership Events by identifying and recruiting talent.
  • Engage volunteers in meaningful work, providing structure and support to develop their skills and achieve sustainable results.
  • Ensure volunteer activities align with Society Operating Principles, offering timely feedback and coaching to enhance performance.
  • Support the creation of action-oriented volunteer leadership committees for fundraising and event experiences.
  • Foster volunteer development through feedback and shared learning opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in fundraising and event management.
  • Proven ability to build and lead fundraising committees.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales and fundraising targets.
  • Familiarity with corporate and individual giving practices.
  • Self-motivated individual capable of independently achieving goals.
  • Ability to establish credibility and contribute to key priorities swiftly.
  • Experience in building cohesive teams of volunteer leaders.
  • Creative and energetic, thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, essential for working with volunteers and diverse stakeholders.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
  • Proficient negotiation skills.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite and online fundraising tools.
  • Valid driver's license and access to personal transportation.
  • Willingness to work selected evenings and weekends.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

The estimated compensation range for this position is $48,000 - $58,000, based on our compensation framework. Final offers will be determined by geographic location and relevant experience.
