POSITION OVERVIEW
The Events Administrator is integral to the successful execution of various events throughout the year. This role encompasses the organization and management of event RSVPs, the development of event websites, and the acquisition of silent auction contributions. The Events Administrator will also oversee the OneCause event management software and participate in all relevant training sessions to optimize our utilization of the platform.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Event Planning and Promotion: Assist in the coordination of all event operations, including major fundraising events and community gatherings.
- Event Management Systems: Construct, oversee, and maintain event sites using the OneCause event management system and other platforms, ensuring precise guest list management and ticket processing. Regular training will be undertaken to enhance proficiency with the platform.
- On-Site Event Support: Provide operational assistance during major events to guarantee seamless execution.
- Administrative Assistance: Support the Director of Development Operations with various administrative tasks.
- Inventory Oversight: Maintain an inventory of all event-related materials, ensuring availability for each event and notifying the supervisor when supplies are low.
- Meeting Documentation: Record notes during all event-related meetings for accurate historical reference.
- Progress Monitoring: Attend weekly meetings with the supervisor to review event planning and execution progress.
- Marketing Assistance: Contribute to the editing of event marketing materials and graphic design on the OneCause platform.
- Silent Auction Contributions: Gather silent auction donations throughout the year using online request forms and participate in silent auction committee meetings.
- General Support: Perform additional duties as necessary to aid the success of the development department.
- Education: A college degree is preferred.
- Event Planning Experience: Prior experience in event planning is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills with a willingness to learn specialized software.
- Initiative and Creativity: An innovative self-starter with a creative mindset, capable of working independently and making confident decisions.
- Team Collaboration: A collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage documents and deadlines related to events efficiently.
- Flexibility: Adaptability to changing workloads and willingness to work outside standard hours as events approach.

- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally, move around the facility, and possess the manual dexterity necessary for operating a computer and other office equipment.
