POSITION SUMMARY
The Events Administrator is essential in facilitating the successful execution of various events throughout the year. This role encompasses the management of event RSVPs, the creation of event websites, and the acquisition of silent auction contributions. The Events Administrator will also oversee the OneCause event management software and participate in training sessions to optimize its usage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Event Planning and Promotion: Support the operational aspects of all events, including major fundraising initiatives and community gatherings.
- Event Management Systems: Develop and maintain event sites using the OneCause platform, ensuring accurate guest list management and ticketing processes.
- On-Site Event Support: Provide logistical assistance during events to guarantee seamless execution.
- Administrative Assistance: Offer support to the Director of Development Operations as needed.
- Inventory Oversight: Maintain an inventory of event materials, ensuring availability and timely replenishment.
- Meeting Documentation: Record notes during event-related meetings for future reference.
- Progress Tracking: Participate in weekly meetings to discuss event planning and outcomes.
- Marketing Collaboration: Assist in the creation and editing of promotional materials for events.
- Silent Auction Coordination: Gather donations for silent auctions and engage in committee discussions.
- General Support: Undertake additional tasks as required to enhance the effectiveness of the development department.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: A college degree is preferred.
- Event Experience: Previous experience in event planning is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills and a willingness to learn new software.
- Creativity and Initiative: A proactive and innovative mindset with the ability to work independently.
- Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
- Organizational Skills: Strong capability to manage documents and deadlines related to events.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to handle varying workloads and work outside standard hours as needed.
- Professionalism: Ability to represent St. Matthew's House with integrity.
