The Leadership Events Development Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the designated revenue portfolio meets its financial targets. This role encompasses various events, including luncheons, dinners, galas, and other special occasions as assigned.


Key Responsibilities:

Achieve revenue goals in Leadership Events while providing guidance and accountability to the volunteer team across the assigned portfolio (80%):

  • Execute strategic campaign plans and fundraising objectives that align with Society initiatives.
  • Oversee the implementation of fundraising strategies, ensuring the necessary resources are allocated to meet objectives.
  • Manage a specific budget for Leadership Events, tracking revenue and expenses effectively throughout the fiscal year; provide updates and financial forecasts to the supervisor.
  • Utilize market analysis and competitive insights to inform future fundraising strategies.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with corporate partners and individual donors.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to the Society's contributors.

Collaborate with Society departments to achieve development objectives (10%):

  • Engage with staff and volunteers to align market strategies with organizational priorities and enhance team strengths through continuous learning.
  • Work alongside the Individual Giving and Major Gift Team to ensure a cohesive approach to major donors who participate in events or serve as corporate sponsors.
  • In collaboration with the market leadership and corporate teams, cultivate relationships with donors, sponsors, and vendors.
  • Ensure effective mechanisms are in place for the receipt and accounting of donations and expenses.
  • Partner with the Marketing department to expand the Society's outreach and increase revenue.
  • Ensure accurate recording of donor information in the national database and facilitate donor recognition.

Facilitate Volunteer Engagement for fundraising and event experiences within the assigned revenue portfolio (10%):

  • Enhance the number of Society volunteers focused on Leadership Events by identifying and recruiting talent.
  • Engage volunteers through meaningful, well-structured opportunities, employing strategies and resources available in their local market. Identify and develop volunteer skills to achieve measurable outcomes.
  • Ensure volunteer actions align with Society Operating Principles; provide timely feedback and coaching to enhance performance.
  • Support the development of action-oriented volunteer leadership committees for fundraising and event experiences, led by the market Leadership Events staff.
  • Cultivate volunteer relationships, seek feedback, and share opportunities for mutual growth and learning.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in fundraising and event management.
  • Proven experience in building and leading fundraising committees.
  • Results-oriented approach with a demonstrated record of fundraising success.
  • Understanding of corporate and individual giving practices.
  • Self-motivated individual capable of achieving goals independently.
  • Ability to establish credibility quickly within and outside the organization.
  • Demonstrated success in forming a productive, cohesive team of volunteer leaders.
  • Creative and energetic individual who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with volunteers, staff, and diverse stakeholders.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
  • Proficient negotiation skills.

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in computer applications (MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, online fundraising tools, databases).
  • Valid driver's license and access to personal transportation; willingness to travel as needed.
  • Availability to work selected evenings and weekends.

Compensation & Benefits:

The estimated salary range for this position is $48,000 - $58,000, based on the Society's compensation framework. Final offers will be determined based on geographic location and relevant experience.
