Volunteers of America National Services is looking for a dedicated Accounting Manager to join our dynamic Accounting team. This role is essential in overseeing the financial operations for various healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage financial statements for multiple healthcare facilities on a monthly basis.
  • Collaborate with facility staff to gather necessary information and record journal entries accurately.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements and perform account reconciliations monthly.
  • Oversee the import and review of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable journal entries.
  • Provide ongoing support for financial and accounting inquiries from operations and facility management.
  • Assist in the preparation for annual audits, including account reconciliations and audit work papers.
  • Research and compile budgetary information for various accounts across facilities.
  • Prepare Medicare and Medicaid cost reports for skilled nursing facilities.
  • Ensure accurate reconciliation of accounts and preparation of annual cost reports.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related discipline is required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in general ledger and financial reporting.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in healthcare accounting.
  • Background in public accounting or audit is advantageous.
