Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst who possesses a strong analytical mindset and a commitment to driving enhancements within our organization at Bluestem Brands.

As a vital member of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) division, you will be instrumental in advancing the Bluestem mission and achieving financial objectives.

Your role will involve ensuring the accuracy of our financial data, delivering insights through detailed analysis and reporting, and leveraging your specialized knowledge to offer well-founded recommendations. This will empower the business to make informed decisions.

Core Focus
Credit is a pivotal aspect of our operations – it is essential in our endeavor to assist individuals in achieving better financial well-being.

This position will play a crucial role in the organization's success by providing financial guidance and outstanding support to the Credit strategy and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage intricate financial models to monitor, analyze, and report on trends in portfolio revenue and losses.
- Provide support for expense management to Credit Strategy and Operations leaders.
- Conduct monthly variance and trend analysis to ensure a comprehensive understanding of financial outcomes and discrepancies.

Collaboration and Support
- Partner with Credit and Finance teams to create forecasts related to Credit General & Administrative expenses, Statement & Payment Processing, and other Credit Operations areas.
- Facilitate management's comprehension of financial performance, highlighting variances to plans and previous forecasts, while identifying performance trends, risks, and opportunities.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in finance, accounting, operations, business analytics, or planning with increasing responsibility.
- Proficient analytical and financial modeling skills (Excel), with the ability to interpret raw data, draw conclusions, and formulate actionable recommendations.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with Hyperion Essbase is advantageous.
- A proactive approach to resolving business challenges and the ability to foster strong, cross-functional relationships as a financial business partner.
