Los Angeles, California, United States Riot Games Full time

As a Senior Technical Program Manager at Riot Games, you will spearhead dedicated, cross-functional teams to deliver significant programs that align with our strategic objectives aimed at enhancing player experiences.

Your role will involve orchestrating key development initiatives and overseeing the integration of our games with the Player Platform's extensive suite of offerings.

In this position, you will adeptly manage the intricate dynamics of platform and game development, transforming numerous moving parts into clear strategic priorities that facilitate collaboration among our development teams. You will streamline the processes of platform development and integration throughout all phases of project execution.

The Player Platform is essential for our game and product developers, and you will report directly to the Program Management Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Unify independent teams towards complex, cross-business unit initiatives focused on Riot's technological priorities.
  • Develop comprehensive program plans in collaboration with diverse teams, including creative, architectural, operational, technical, and leadership personnel.
  • Promote effective processes and delivery methodologies to ensure successful program outcomes.
  • Facilitate Agile project management ceremonies and processes for medium to large project teams.
  • Monitor program performance, ensuring milestones are met in alignment with objectives.
  • Coordinate program-level planning, communication, and team rituals.
  • Identify and manage risks and issues across programs and teams.
  • Enhance transparency and predictability by creating and maintaining roadmaps for assigned programs.
  • Maintain partner relationships, ensuring visibility into workstreams and fostering partner satisfaction.
  • Assist in formulating product release and go-to-market strategies.
  • Understand financial practices and controls, tracking and reporting on program expenditures and ROI.

Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong teamwork, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with iterative development methodologies such as Scrum and Agile, along with familiarity with tools like JIRA.
  • Background in software development.
  • Understanding of technical project components, including architecture, tools, and deployment practices utilized by development teams.
  • A passion for enhancing Riot's capacity to deliver exceptional experiences for players.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Prior program management experience in a large, distributed organization.
  • Experience overseeing hardware/software/video game products throughout their entire lifecycle—from conception and development to launch and ongoing service management.
  • Experience with a variety of software products in the gaming or software sectors.

Success in this role will stem from your expertise and collaborative spirit, prioritizing the needs of your fellow Rioters, who are the primary beneficiaries of your work.

While being a dedicated gaming enthusiast is not a requirement for this position, we value a commitment to our mission.

Our Benefits:

At Riot, we prioritize work/life balance, demonstrated by our open paid time off policy and flexible work schedules.

We provide comprehensive medical, dental, and life insurance, parental leave for you and your family, and a 401k plan with company matching.

Riot Games is dedicated to fostering a player and workplace environment that values teamwork, as reflected in our Summoner's Code and Community Code.

Our culture embraces diversity as a strength, and our values guide our approach to work. We are committed to integrating diversity and inclusion into every aspect of our operations, promoting a fair and collaborative culture where all Rioters are treated with dignity and respect.

We encourage you to learn more about our commitment to thriving together and our ongoing efforts to build the most inclusive company in the gaming industry.
