Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Manager to lead our creation team in the Adidas Sample Room. As a key member of our innovation team, you will be responsible for driving technical innovation and excellence in our sample room operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage a team of technicians to ensure they are meeting all project requirements and delivering high-quality results.
  • Partner with the Senior Manager of Footwear and Apparel Creation to achieve business objectives and drive innovation.
  • Proactively communicate with the sample room management team to ensure smooth development processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies and materials to inform business decisions and drive innovation.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the design and development teams to ensure that products meet technical specifications and quality standards.
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners to analyze designs for manufacturability, production efficiencies, and potential functional or quality issues.
  • Supervise the maintenance of all related tools, equipment, and supplies, including machine software, casting equipment, and modeling tools.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technological trends in CAD systems, knitting, and manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with other Adidas creation centers and internal departments to drive innovation and excellence.
Requirements
  • Four-year college or university degree with emphasis on clothing technology and/or manufacturing.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, including experience in a leadership role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of 3D creation processes, including additive manufacturing, 3D printing, and knit creation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
