Senior Manager of Technical Accounting and Reporting

The Senior Manager of Technical Accounting and Reporting will be responsible for overseeing intricate technical accounting issues as well as both internal and external reporting obligations to stakeholders. This role will ensure the accuracy of general ledger activities and balances in complex accounting areas, facilitate month-end closing processes, and manage interim and year-end financial audits effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and review of financial data related to monthly accounting and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to guarantee accurate accounting for complex areas such as revenue, equity, and debt.
  • Support month-end closing, quarterly financial reporting, and financial and regulatory audits.
  • Maintain a mindset focused on process improvement, striving for automation, efficiency, and system enhancements.
  • Conduct technical accounting research for new transactions and policies, ensuring proper documentation in memos, manuals, and desktop procedures.
  • Adapt to additional accounting topics as needed.
  • Oversee direct reports, including hiring, training, supervising, and mentoring team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field; professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • CPA preferred; eligibility required, with support provided for CPA pursuit.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in general and/or public accounting.
  • At least 4 years of experience in an accounting manager or project lead role.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience with a proven ability to mentor and develop team members.
  • Strong collaborative skills with a focus on internal client service.
  • Experience in the healthcare sector is advantageous.

Salary range for this position is $159,939.07—$191,926.88 annually, plus bonus and equity. WelbeHealth offers a competitive total rewards package that includes 401k matching, healthcare coverage, and a variety of additional benefits. Actual compensation will be adjusted based on experience and qualifications.
