Senior Technology Program Manager

What is the Opportunity?

This position is accountable for the strategic planning and successful execution of extensive and/or intricate technology initiatives within a designated business unit. You will lead a diverse team of project members, each responsible for specific components of the project.

Your role includes establishing technology project governance frameworks and delivery strategies to ensure the achievement of defined business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently oversee multiple complex, long-term projects and/or programs that significantly influence business operations and technology across the organization.
  • Shape strategic direction and formulate tactical plans with considerable discretion.
  • Provide comprehensive solutions to multifaceted challenges while maintaining extensive interactions with internal clients and stakeholders.
  • Manage intricate projects and programs from the proposal phase through requirements gathering, project planning, and implementation, utilizing broad insights from industry and business unit experts.
  • Oversee complex project, program, and portfolio budgets, ensuring financial accountability.
  • Drive project activities to meet objectives, budgets, scope, quality standards, and timelines.
  • Conduct project risk assessments, identifying key risk factors and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Utilize established methodologies to manage projects and teams, ensuring adherence to change control processes and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Develop formal reports and presentations for senior management, showcasing project progress and outcomes.
  • Establish effective governance structures that align with strategic goals and consider the impacts across multiple divisions.
  • Act as a mentor and leader within the organization, providing guidance to junior staff and peers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 7 years managing complex technical projects in a dynamic environment.
  • At least 2 years of experience in technical program and/or portfolio management.
  • Preferred: PMP certification and Agile Scrum Master Certification.
  • 2 years of Agile Scrum Master experience is preferred.
  • Expertise in program management methodologies and project management tools.
  • Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to convey complex issues clearly and logically.
  • Strong analytical skills with the capability to synthesize large volumes of information.

Compensation:

Starting base salary: $122,535 - $208,715 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This position is eligible for bonuses and/or commissions.
