Job Overview

Gustave A. Larson stands as a premier wholesale distributor specializing in HVAC and Refrigeration (HVACR) equipment, components, and supplies. The Account Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering outstanding customer service, driving sales growth, and enhancing profitability through a collaborative local market strategy, while being a vital member of both the sales and operations teams to meet customer demands.

Key Responsibilities

The following responsibilities are not exhaustive and may be adjusted as management sees fit.

  • Customer Engagement: Develop and nurture relationships with a designated portfolio of clients. Actively serve as the primary contact for customers, providing assistance, information, and strategic guidance.

  • Sales Enhancement: Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities within existing accounts, including upselling and cross-selling relevant products or services when suitable.

  • Account Oversight: Manage a portfolio of assigned clients, ensuring precise documentation of sales activities and customer interactions through Customer Relationship Management Software.
  • Collaborative Efforts: Work alongside Territory Manager(s) to identify new sales prospects and support the branch by assisting at the counter, responding to inquiries, and performing additional tasks as needed.
  • Product Expertise: Maintain an in-depth understanding of the Company's offerings to deliver accurate and comprehensive information to clients.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in account management or sales, or equivalent educational background is required.
  • Prior experience in the HVAC sector is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in utilizing CRM software and other sales-related tools, ideally Salesforce.
  • Familiarity with ERP software, preferably P21.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% within the designated territory.
