This role offers a hybrid work model, allowing for remote work up to 40% of the time. The office location is at ESL Corporate Headquarters. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility required to accommodate business needs.
Compensation:
Starting Salary: $78,000
Pay Range: $69,075 - $78,000. This position is eligible for an incentive program, details of which will be discussed during the interview process.
Position Overview:
Responsible for developing new Business Banking relationships while managing a portfolio of existing clients. This role focuses on achieving individual sales targets and enhancing current relationships through proactive outreach and networking within the business sector. Additionally, referrals to other business lines within the organization are encouraged.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet Business Development and sales objectives in alignment with ESL policies and procedures.
- Engage in disciplined external prospecting efforts.
- Network actively at internal and external business events.
- Manage the assigned portfolio to ensure retention and growth of client relationships.
- Conduct annual reviews and maintain documented relationship plans in a timely manner.
- Log activities in the Next Gen system.
- Identify and evaluate credit opportunities in accordance with ESL's underwriting standards.
Provide leadership and mentorship to staff at assigned branches. Assist with customer sales and service as needed.
Adhere to member-focused Customer Experience Service Standards and engage in ongoing personal and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (4 years) in Commercial Banking or successful completion of the Business Banking Relationship Management Development Program is required.
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year of progressively responsible experience in commercial lending, including financial analysis and underwriting.
- Extensive knowledge of commercial credit and non-credit products is essential.
- Strong time management, leadership, and organizational skills are required.
- Excellent analytical, planning, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are necessary.
- Demonstrates alignment with ESL's Core Values, mission, vision, and commitment to community development.
