Role Overview
We are in search of exceptionally skilled Engagement Managers in the Chicago region to provide strategic counsel to clients on pivotal issues surrounding growth strategies, major trends, disruptive technologies, commercial due diligence, and intellectual property. The ideal candidate will be an innovative and highly motivated individual focused on leading client engagements, maximizing impact, and contributing to the overall growth of the firm through thought leadership.

Key Responsibilities
Engagement Managers will spearhead project teams in crafting proposals, developing work plans, and determining resource needs while synthesizing team insights into comprehensive reports and presenting findings to senior executives. We seek innovative leaders who are committed to delivering exceptional results for Fortune 500 companies and prominent private equity firms.

The Engagement Manager will guide both Red Chalk Group and client teams in uncovering unique and valuable insights related to client strategies, compiling findings into detailed reports, and presenting conclusions to senior management.

Compensation
Compensation will be commensurate with experience, aligning closely with similar roles within the professional services sector. The position offers a base salary plus performance bonuses.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in consulting, preferably with a focus on strategy consultancy. Candidates with backgrounds in M&A advisory or equity research will also be considered.
  • A postgraduate degree from a reputable institution.
  • A bachelor's degree with a strong academic record.
  • Self-motivated, assertive, and possessing a high level of self-confidence and intellectual curiosity.
  • Proven experience in developing client proposals and leading engagements.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to dissect complex problems and develop strategic frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and define business challenges.
  • Experience in conducting rigorous quantitative analysis.
  • A passion for generating unique insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Strong project management and team leadership capabilities.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
