Job Summary

As a Supply Chain Management Intern at Textron Aviation, you will have the opportunity to work on projects that focus on inventory and procurement practices, driving automation and efficiency into daily processes and procedures that support Direct, Indirect, and Aftermarket. This experience will entail both production and supplier interface, and provide ample opportunities to work cross-functionally to efficiently and effectively bring Textron Aviation products to market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with material planning requirements, issuing purchase orders for materials and components, expediting orders as needed, and verifying delivery dates
  • Implement new processes and improve existing ones, involving developing procedures, completing problem analysis, and optimizing inventory management
  • Manage inventory and reorder points of materials based on manufacturing schedules
  • Prepare reports and communications as requested
  • Perform system data analysis, maintenance, and clean-up
Requirements
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Operations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Action-oriented and seizes opportunities
  • Effectively utilizes time and organizes priorities well
  • SAP experience is a plus
  • Computer proficiency (MS Office, CAD, etc.)
