Supply Chain Risk Assessment Leader

The Supply Chain Risk Management division is dedicated to crafting and implementing strategies that guarantee supply stability and mitigate risks based on various risk metrics provided by interdisciplinary teams, including Finance, Quality, and Production Control & Logistics.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Supply Chain Risk Assessment Leader with robust operational, supplier quality, and procurement expertise to become a vital member of the Supply Chain Risk Management team. This individual will manage a supplier risk monitoring database and deliver insights and action plans concerning high-risk suppliers to the U.S. Division. Additionally, they will collaborate directly with these suppliers to implement corrective and preventive measures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage supplier risk databases for U.S. operational teams and generate insights for Global Supply Management and Operations teams.
- Conduct comprehensive supply risk evaluations for suppliers based on a wide range of risk indicators, including strategic, financial, geopolitical, capacity, supply chain logistics, cybersecurity, and compliance.
- Evaluate supplier risks and the implications of emerging regulatory requirements, propose strategies and recommendations, and integrate solutions into relevant business processes.
- Assist in the development and execution of risk mitigation strategies aligned with short-term, annual, and long-term growth forecasts in partnership with procurement managers.
- Create risk alerts based on the severity of identified risks and respond promptly to mitigate these risks.
- Support commodity and plant teams in formulating continuity plans for suppliers identified as high-risk.
- Contribute to the overall risk management strategy for procurement and ensure its integration into fundamental business practices.
- Enhance visibility of risks associated with tier 2/3 suppliers for critical material categories and incorporate findings into sourcing strategies.
- Collaborate to establish predictive risk management practices and implement them within the procurement scope.
- Work with Global Supply Management managers to integrate risk management solutions into sourcing strategies, supplier relationship management, and contracting processes.
- Support the business planning process to include risk management initiatives and necessary resources, including the adoption of digital tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Over 8 years of substantial experience in procurement or related supply chain functions with exposure to risk management.
- Familiarity with material categories such as electronics, machining, molding, assembly, tooling, and manufacturing processes is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with complex data sets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information confidently.
- Experience working across regions and understanding diverse markets.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, lean manufacturing, or Six Sigma problem-solving techniques.
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
