Position Overview: The IT Director at BetterComp, Inc. will spearhead all technology-related initiatives within the organization. As the initial point of contact for IT operations, you will manage a variety of critical projects essential for our growth and success. This role presents a unique opportunity to build a high-performing IT department, lead the establishment of vital IT processes, and ensure our technology strategy is in alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Infrastructure: Develop, implement, and sustain reliable and secure network connections for all remote teams, facilitating seamless communication and collaboration. Ensure effective account management and access controls.
  • Device Management: Oversee the complete lifecycle of company devices, from acquisition to deployment, management, and decommissioning, ensuring optimal performance and security. Standardize endpoint specifications and operating system images for enhanced security and maintenance.
  • Cloud Solutions Management: Direct the selection, deployment, and optimization of cloud-based business systems that improve operational efficiency and support our growth targets. Identify and mitigate shadow IT risks, ensuring all technology in use is secure and compliant.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement comprehensive endpoint security measures, including patch management processes, to safeguard our remote workforce and data assets. Manage centralized antivirus, anti-malware, mobile device management, and data loss prevention solutions.
  • Technical Support Services: Establish and lead a responsive IT support function that delivers exceptional assistance to all employees, ensuring prompt resolution of technical issues and a positive user experience.
  • Vendor Relations: Identify, assess, and manage relationships with key technology vendors and service providers to ensure optimal value and performance for the organization.
  • Systems Integration: Lead initiatives to integrate various systems and platforms within the organization, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability among business-critical applications.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in an IT leadership role, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment, with a hands-on approach to execution.
  • Strong technical knowledge in network infrastructure, device management, cloud systems, security, and IT support management.
  • Experience with AI-driven process enhancements and automation to drive efficiency and business value.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing projects, focusing on delivering maximum value to the business in minimal time.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a strong focus on IT as a business enabler.
  • Experience in building and leading high-performing IT teams, emphasizing mentorship and talent development.
