About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Director of Cybersecurity to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will help our operating companies build and maintain the most secure platforms.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Operationalizing security best practices across our portfolio
  • Driving best practices in application security testing, penetration testing, secure coding, infrastructure, audit, risk assessment, compliance, and incident response programs
  • Implementing engineering strategy and best practices across the portfolio
  • Collaborating with our DevOps teams to review and improve Azure/AWS/GCP security footprints
  • Assisting in audits, including risk assessments, planning, testing, control evaluation, and reporting
  • Developing and leading cybersecurity strategy and fostering a community of cybersecurity leads across our portfolio
  • Providing technical design recommendations to address audit & compliance narratives in partnership with technology SMEs and leadership
  • Being a security subject matter expert and responding to internal/external security questions
  • Managing incident response through vendors and addressing the portfolio's security needs
  • Assisting portfolio companies in getting and maintaining SOC2, PCI, HIPAA, CCPA, CPRA, and GDPR compliance

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • A minimum bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in web application security testing and/or secure development methodologies
  • A solid understanding of authentication best practices and secure access control
  • Experience with modern web frameworks, APIs, containers, databases, and WAF
  • Experience performing source code analysis and using tools like Burpsuite, Nessus, ZAP, Arachni, Kali, and Nmap
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security and governance (AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • One of the following certifications: CISA, CISSP, CISM, OSWE, OSCP, GWAPT, or GWEB
  • Experience in SOC, HIPAA, GDPR, or PCI DSS
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and listening skills
  • A proactive, solution-oriented, problem-solving mindset
  • Experience in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
