Position Overview

The Sales Account Manager will play a pivotal role in driving retail sales growth within their designated territory by effectively strategizing and executing sales initiatives.

Strategic Business Planning:
  • Develop and implement customized business strategies to achieve growth in account locations.
  • Enhance retail sell-through performance by analyzing brand, store, and account metrics.
  • Assess the retail performance of assigned accounts and locations, taking necessary actions and ensuring comprehensive follow-up.
  • Facilitate the launch of new products and execute key promotional strategies as per established plans.
  • Analyze promotional effectiveness and track sales performance metrics.
  • Continuously monitor competitor activities and stay attuned to customer and consumer preferences in the market.
  • Oversee and review reports from staffing agencies to ensure accuracy and optimize return on investment.
  • Maintain and adhere to budgetary constraints, including Point of Sale (POS) and Travel & Entertainment (T&E) expenses.
  • Implement and manage training, education, in-store events, and product launches following established protocols.
Leadership and Management of Sales Assistants:
  • Oversee all aspects of recruiting and managing sales assistants, identifying training and development needs to maximize their performance.
  • Ensure hiring aligns with authorized staffing levels and budgetary constraints.
  • Effectively manage sales assistant performance through ongoing evaluations and assessments, utilizing tools such as in-store coaching focused on customer service and sales techniques.
  • Monitor and evaluate sales performance against targets, including unit and value sales.
  • Provide continuous coaching and training for sales assistants based on corporate training guidelines.
  • Maximize motivational opportunities during events and promotions, ensuring a consistent focus on achieving sales goals.
Store Relationship Management:
  • Regularly communicate vital information regarding events, visual merchandising, sales objectives, and promotions.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with key store personnel, including department and store managers.
  • Conduct monthly reviews of retail and promotional sales with store management, addressing seasonal presentations, stock concerns, merchandising, and staffing.
Execution of Marketing and Merchandising Programs:
  • Oversee the implementation of marketing initiatives, ensuring adherence to merchandising guidelines and effective utilization of collateral and samples to enhance retail performance.
  • Uphold the Elizabeth Arden brand image by maintaining high standards of counter merchandising and fostering the development of sales assistants.
