Position: Business Application Administrator

WealthVest Marketing is a prominent financial services marketing and distribution firm that focuses on high-quality fixed and fixed index annuities from various reputable insurance providers. Role Purpose:
The Business Application Administrator will engage in all facets of the software development life-cycle, including project and feature backlog prioritization, requirements engineering, and overseeing development through testing, release, and support for products aimed at institutional end users. This role emphasizes collaboration with team members to devise solutions that align with business requirements and adhere to established policies. Additionally, the position will spearhead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance user experiences and boost operational efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily support, maintenance, and enhancement of applications.
  • Provide support for existing applications through design, coding, and specification modifications.
  • Develop comprehensive business and functional requirements, including use cases and user stories.
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing and facilitate end-user training.
  • Supervise data input/output across various applications to ensure data adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy.
  • Utilize programming, scripting, or database languages to create efficient solutions.
  • Identify gaps in current business processes and manage solutions through leadership and collaboration.
  • Assist subject matter experts in gathering and prioritizing departmental business system requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary.

Essential Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent certifications in computer science, information technology, or business.
  • Experience in point-and-click administration of mission-critical systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, CMS).
  • Proficient in database management.
  • Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple requests effectively.
  • Experience in a SCRUM or agile environment is preferred.
