Position Overview:

The Application Analyst plays a critical role in the implementation, configuration, training, and ongoing support of application systems. This position requires collaboration with subject matter experts to define system requirements and optimize application performance through the development of new features, testing, and managing vendor updates and system enhancements. The analyst will provide both technical and functional insights, establish system requirements, and create logical data models while adhering to best practices for application configuration, maintenance, and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary resource for designing, building, testing, and activating the application database.
  • Support the development of new projects through system analysis, planning, and preparation.
  • Participate in project teams for new implementations and installations.
  • Assist colleagues and vendors with technical and procedural challenges.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues involving integrated systems.
  • Test and validate software releases, upgrades, and modifications before deployment.
  • Analyze business processes to ensure optimal system configuration.
  • Document and maintain all necessary system design and build documentation.
  • Provide support to end users both on-site and remotely.
  • Contribute to the creation of testing scripts and perform various testing tasks.
  • Track and coordinate system changes, including software code implementations.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or Healthcare Administration, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in the healthcare sector.
  • EPIC Certification to be obtained within six months of hire (if applicable).

Preferred:

  • At least five years of experience in healthcare IT.
  • Two years of experience specifically in healthcare IT.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification.
