Job Overview

Position Summary: The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for a range of accounting clerical duties associated with the management and processing of payable account records and invoices for various clients and vendors of Goodbookin LLC. This role also involves payroll functions to ensure timely and accurate employee compensation.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing daily Accounts Payable (A/P) statements and reports using software tools (Quickbooks Desktop & Appfolio).
  • Receiving, verifying, and processing invoices and requisitions for goods and services.
  • Entering invoice data for payment processing.
  • Generating backup reports post data entry.
  • Overseeing weekly check processing and recording all transactions in computerized systems.
  • Preparing vendor checks for distribution and maintaining a log of all checks issued.
  • Issuing manual checks as necessary.
  • Handling specific financial documentation (e.g., tax forms, inventory orders).
  • Establishing and maintaining confidential employee and business files.
  • Calculating compensation rates for benefits and salaries as applicable.
  • Verifying employee pay amounts and deductions.
  • Ensuring proper coding and securing necessary signatures for financial records.
  • Maintaining organized inventory and financial document filing systems.
  • Recording administrative and office expenses in relevant software.
  • Producing daily, weekly, and monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Providing professional customer service to clients, vendors, and visitors.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in Accounts Payable and/or payroll is required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • General knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Quickbooks is required; experience with Appfolio is preferred but training will be provided.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong computer skills, including 10-Key proficiency and a typing speed of at least 40 WPM.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • High level of accuracy in financial data preparation and entry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Work Environment:

The physical demands of this position include regular communication, frequent use of hands for handling objects, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. The work environment is typically low to moderate in noise level, and reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
