Essential Experience:
Applicants should possess over five (5) years of sales expertise within the construction and/or building materials sectors. Applications lacking this experience will not be considered.

About the Company:
TEEMA is a privately-held enterprise recognized as one of North America's foremost manufacturers of particleboard, medium density fiberboard, and thermally fused laminates. The company also produces softwood and hardwood plywood, lumber, LVL, and I-joists.

Role Summary:
The Regional Sales Executive is tasked with executing sales strategies by cultivating, enhancing, and overseeing relationships with independent wholesale distributors and retail clients. This role supports downstream demand generation activities for a diverse product portfolio within a designated territory and is accountable for achieving objectives that align with the business strategy while upholding core values. The focus for this position includes the Specialty Plywood product line and the latest offering, Amorite Exterior Trim, alongside other complementary products in the development pipeline.

  • Craft innovative solutions that address customer needs, setting us apart from competitors and fostering customer success.
  • Thoroughly understand and anticipate both current and future customer requirements, keeping internal stakeholders informed.
  • Engage in both tactical and strategic account planning to meet set objectives.
  • Formulate and execute collaborative customer strategies that yield mutual benefits.
  • Manage expectations regarding the targeting and application of branded products.

Relationship Management:

  • Establish and nurture internal and external relationships, creating multiple levels of engagement with key decision-makers within client organizations.
  • Influence positively by communicating effectively to drive desired behaviors and build credibility for both oneself and the organization.
  • Foster trusting relationships by promoting a collaborative environment both internally and externally.

Performance Delivery:

  • Influence product specifications and acceptance.
  • Prioritize tasks and optimize the use of time and resources through effective planning aligned with business strategies to achieve objectives.
  • Utilize internal resources and external influencers to advance opportunities through the sales cycle.
  • Embrace the increasing importance of technology (CRM, virtual tools, e-commerce, etc.).
  • Act as a brand ambassador for all product lines.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a Technical field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of sales experience in the construction and/or building materials industry.
  • A collaborative team player who is ambitious, humble, and intelligent.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Exhibit a sense of urgency and a proactive approach.
  • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication abilities.
  • Strong self-motivation and organizational capabilities.
  • Basic understanding of financial principles.
  • Familiarity with the product portfolio and our competitive advantages.
  • Knowledge of market segments and channels relevant to the product portfolio and customer business models.
  • Good insight into the strengths and weaknesses of key competitors.
  • Proven track record of success in sales, demonstrating proficiency in selling techniques, active listening, probing for insights, recognizing buying signals, and negotiating for mutual benefit.
  • Demonstrated adaptability to changing market conditions and sales scenarios.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel overnight approximately 50%-60% of the time.
