Position Summary:
The Regional Sales Executive is responsible for executing direct sales initiatives and delivering exceptional customer service while educating retailers and consumers about our product offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all ISO9001, HACCP, and GMP standards and procedures.
- Conduct systematic visits to all assigned accounts as directed by the Sales Manager.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer personnel.
- Ensure compliance with credit and collection policies as per Alcohol Beverage Control regulations.
- Manage inventory levels to prevent stock shortages.
- Implement and maintain current promotional materials.
- Ensure adequate shelf space and optimal product placement.
- Monitor retail pricing and communicate discrepancies to customers and the Sales Manager.
- Achieve placements for wine-by-the-glass, wine lists, and house wines.
- Complete daily reports and submit them to the Sales Manager as required.
- Review monthly sales commission reports in the Employee Portal.
- Work towards securing advertising and promotional opportunities.
- Maintain an organized Route Book and Presentation Book.
- Keep an adequate supply of promotional materials and samples.
- Physically capable of lifting and transporting cases of wine weighing up to 45 lbs.
- Utilize technology effectively to enhance customer service and communication.
- Operate a motor vehicle safely.
- Collaborate with delivery personnel to ensure smooth operations.
- Support the Sales Manager with various tasks, including events and merchandising.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Keep customers informed about sales trends, promotions, and special pricing.
- Report any issues or opportunities to the Sales Manager with suggested solutions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Make regular calls within the designated territory to solicit sales from existing and potential accounts.
- Introduce and place new products in all assigned accounts.
- Maintain current knowledge of route activities.
- Ensure timely collections for all accounts.
- Meet or exceed sales targets for the territory.
- Foster positive relationships with customers.
- Collaborate with all company staff to uphold high service standards.
Education and Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience in wine or beverage sales.
- Strong time management capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of winemaking and viticulture practices.
- Familiarity with wholesale distribution channels.
- Ability to work autonomously and achieve objectives.
- Proficient in using technology.
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Proficient in using standard computer equipment.
- Low noise levels.
- Indoor climate-controlled setting.
- Safety glasses, safety vest, and appropriate footwear when in production areas.
