Position Overview
Illinois Tool Works Inc. is looking for a Territory Sales Manager to oversee the Los Angeles region. This role is crucial for identifying new business opportunities while enhancing relationships with existing clients and ensuring top-notch service quality. The position offers the chance to engage with a diverse range of external and internal stakeholders, including end users, foodservice dealers, consultants, and sales leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent Illinois Tool Works Inc. brands within the designated territory.
  • Identify competitive challenges, industry trends, and business opportunities to meet or exceed sales and profitability objectives.
  • Develop and maintain robust customer relationships to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
  • Act as a customer advocate and trusted business advisor.
  • Employ value-added selling techniques while executing market strategies and negotiation skills to secure business.
  • Collaborate with the existing Sales Manager and Independent Rep Group to enhance sales in the territory.
  • Work cross-functionally with product lines to implement and achieve annual goals, including installation teams and service contractors.
  • Utilize CRM systems to create and drive transactional and project opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver business reviews to senior management and select dealers.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all product lines relevant to industry needs.
  • Demonstrate expertise in specifications and applications of all equipment lines.
  • Manage and negotiate competitive bid projects with multiple distribution partners.
  • Plan, prepare, and conduct regional training sessions on all product lines.
  • Conduct all activities in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Proven sales track record, ideally with experience in food equipment, working directly with dealers or in other business-to-business settings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong presentation abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
