We are looking for a Regional Sales Executive who excels in a competitive environment. This role will focus on driving sales by establishing and nurturing new connections within the pool sector, delivering compelling sales presentations to targeted clients, expanding market presence within both new and existing accounts, and offering support that includes ensuring customer satisfaction and conducting product demonstrations for builders, contractors, and OEMs. The designated territory encompasses the broader South Los Angeles region, including Long Beach.
Key Responsibilities
This position will serve as the primary field representative responsible for generating new and sustaining existing business within the new construction sector. Key tasks will include:
- Promoting and selling Fluidra products, programs, and services to national accounts, pool builders, retail outlets, OEMs, sales managers, sales representatives, plumbers, and electricians.
- Participating in trade shows and tabletop events at national, regional, and local levels.
- Maintaining an updated Salesforce database of Fluidra clientele.
- Submitting required documentation promptly (expense reports, monthly updates).
Sales Objectives:
- Market and sell programs and services professionally to enhance sales and customer satisfaction.
- Generate sales demand to facilitate the distribution of Fluidra products throughout the territory.
- Act as the Fluidra Sales Department representative for specific or unique accounts.
- Collaborate with management to keep them informed of any developments that may impact the territory.
- Provide literature upon request via fax or mail.
- Complete necessary forms for literature and special deliveries sent through the Shipping or Marketing departments.
- Consistently increase sales figures.
- Compile lists of potential customers in Salesforce for use as sales leads, utilizing information from business directories and trade show leads.
- Travel within the assigned territory to engage with regular and prospective clients to solicit orders or discuss products on-site or via phone.
- Showcase or demonstrate products using samples or catalogs, emphasizing key features.
- Provide pricing and credit terms and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained from distribution and national accounts.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in external sales or related training. Experience in the pool industry is advantageous.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and effectively.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting documents such as safety regulations, operational instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key personnel in target customer organizations.
- Capability to collaborate across functions while balancing customer needs with Fluidra's corporate objectives of revenue and profitability.
- Familiarity with basic Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel, as well as Google email and scheduling tools, and CRM systems.
- Mathematical proficiency: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Education
A Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent technical product experience is preferred.
