Position Summary

The Equipment Engineer plays a crucial role as an individual contributor, utilizing expertise in engineering, electro-mechanical systems, mathematics, software, and computer sciences to identify, analyze, and resolve equipment challenges in a controlled environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Line Maintenance and Process Engineering teams in diagnosing issues and supporting wafer production.
  • Collaborate with vendors for the installation and operation of new semiconductor machinery.
  • Enhance Production Equipment performance by improving throughput and minimizing downtime through procurement, installation, upgrades, design modifications, troubleshooting, and cost reduction.
  • Conduct thorough equipment failure analyses and review performance trends to implement improvements.
  • Troubleshoot and repair assigned equipment utilizing effective techniques and tools.
  • Maintain regular communication with Supervisors, Production, Engineering, and other teams regarding priorities and equipment status.
  • Document all relevant tasks meticulously to ensure clarity and compliance.
  • Provide support for unscheduled events and streamline the escalation process.
  • Adhere to all safety and cleanroom protocols.
  • Train maintenance technicians as necessary to enhance response times.
Workplace Considerations

This role requires on-site presence and operates on a standard workweek, with potential for overtime and on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field, along with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
Proficient in interpreting technical documents and manuals.
Experience in creating and maintaining operational and training documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and refrigeration systems.
Experience in electronic troubleshooting of vacuum pumps and related equipment.
Ability to multitask and perform under pressure.
Strong communication skills across various audiences, including vendors and team members.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications—Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
