Position Overview

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is a reliable provider of mission-critical solutions for global security.

Our Engineering and Sciences (E&S) division challenges the limits of innovation, redefines engineering capabilities, and propels advancements across various scientific fields.

We are in search of a Staff Electrical Engineer specializing in Power Supply Design.


Key Responsibilities:
Accountable for the comprehensive design of analog circuits and subsystems, with a focus on analog power supply development.


Design responsibilities encompass system-level requirements analysis, subsystem-level requirements formulation, conceptual design, preliminary design, and thorough design verification leading to production transition.

Analysis responsibilities include detailed circuit modeling, simulation, signal integrity assessment, electrical stress evaluation, and worst-case circuit analysis.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with 9 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with 7 years of relevant experience; or a PhD in Electrical Engineering with 4 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in electrical circuit design.
- Expertise in analog power supply design.
- Proficient in circuit modeling and simulation.
- Experience with schematic capture.
- Circuit and subsystem testing and troubleshooting experience.
- US Citizenship required.
- Capability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret security clearance.
- Willingness to work onsite.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Cadence CAE.
- Experience in circuit board design.
- Knowledge of signal integrity analysis.
- Proficiency in worst-case circuit analysis.
- Experience in electrical stress analysis.
- Competence in design verification and testing.
- Ability to lead troubleshooting efforts and provide technical solutions.

Salary Range:
$133,000 - $199,600


The salary range provided serves as a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers various factors when determining base salary offers, including the scope and responsibilities of the position, along with the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.

Employees may qualify for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to recognize individual contributions and allow employees to share in company success. Employees in Vice President or Director roles may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

Furthermore, Northrop Grumman offers a range of benefits, including health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plans, company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for personal and vacation needs.
