  • Develop and implement optical alignment and metrology processes, including test and tooling fixtures to achieve targeted optical performance.
  • Oversee the complete design process throughout the product development cycle, including design reviews, part procurement, verification, integration, and product release.
  • Debug and troubleshoot any optical issues that arise within the system.
  • Design and construct high-precision off-axis mirror systems.
  • Perform coating modeling using optical software and establish optical requirements for coatings.
  • Conduct optical analyses to provide necessary information for completing light budgets.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in the following areas:

  • Exceptional optical system design skills, particularly in high-precision lens/mirror design and illumination design, preferably within semiconductor tools.
  • High proficiency in optical design software such as CodeV, Zemax, or LightTools.
  • Adept at conducting statistical tolerancing for optical components and systems.
  • Ability to create specifications for precision opto-mechanical assemblies.
  • Strong understanding of optics manufacturability and its reflection in optical design.
  • Solid knowledge of optical metrology tools and data.
  • Experience in building and aligning complex optical systems using various mechanical tools and techniques.
Experience:

We highly value candidates with over five years of professional experience in high-precision optical system development, particularly in semiconductor tools. Experience collaborating with top-tier optical suppliers to develop high-precision optics and assemblies is also preferred.

Personal Skills:

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Independence in work and the ability to deliver results with minimal supervision.
  • Strong customer focus and a commitment to satisfaction through prioritization, quality, efficiency, and professionalism.
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in completing assignments.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey progress and status clearly to managers and customers.
  • Capability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with colleagues and customers.
Education:

A Master's or Doctorate in Optical Engineering or Physics is preferred. A strong background in geometrical optics, Fourier optics, lens/mirror design, radiometry, optical metrology, illumination optics, and optical imaging systems is highly desired.
