POSITION SUMMARY

The Lead Project Coordinator is accountable for the comprehensive direction, successful completion, and financial performance of multiple small to medium-sized projects or a single large project.

This role involves leading and overseeing a team of project managers and assistant project managers to achieve outstanding results for our clients.

The Lead Project Coordinator actively seeks to develop new business prospects and foster relationships with both existing and potential clients.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Define project goals, policies, procedures, and performance benchmarks in alignment with corporate guidelines, and communicate these effectively to the field.
  • Supervise staff in the daily management of projects or oversee multiple Project Managers in their routine responsibilities.
  • Maintain communication with primary clients and architects/engineers to support construction operations.
  • Collaborate with onsite Foreman and Area Superintendent to ensure projects are executed on time and within budget.
  • Address any significant issues that arise and implement corrective actions as per company protocols.
  • Represent the company in discussions with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and manage contract financial elements (billing, equipment rentals, income/expenses) to safeguard the company's interests while maintaining positive client relations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of project management experience, ideally in electrical construction, is required.
  • Knowledge of construction technologies, scheduling, equipment, and methodologies is essential.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
  • Demonstrated experience in mentoring and managing teams.
  • Experience in business development and client engagement is advantageous.
  • Ability to adhere to standard operating procedures and policies.
  • In-depth understanding of safety regulations and protocols.
  • Capability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, adapting to changing priorities as needed.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and a collaborative team player.
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel, including management, staff, vendors, and clients.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.


WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

The Lead Project Coordinator may work in various settings, including job sites and office environments. Work is primarily indoors, with varying conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning. Responsibilities may involve extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, typing, and lifting up to 30 lbs. Job sites may present potentially hazardous conditions.
