Key Responsibilities

As the Senior COOP Subject Matter Expert, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Joint Service Provider (JSP) under the Platform Services contract. Your expertise will contribute to the operation and defense of critical cyber infrastructures within the Department of Defense (DOD), providing essential IT services to a wide range of clients.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Delivering Tier 3 IT contingency operations support at designated continuity facilities, ensuring operational readiness for multiple exercises annually.
  • Maintaining fully redundant systems at continuity facilities to guarantee continuous operational capability during testing and national emergencies.
  • Developing and managing JSP COOP plans and training programs, ensuring all personnel are well-prepared for continuity operations.
  • Coordinating and scheduling enterprise disaster recovery exercises to test and validate operational plans.
  • Providing system administration support during contingency operations, acting as a primary responder in critical situations.
  • Managing the transportation and protection of Controlled Cryptographic items and COMSEC materials as needed.
  • Conducting quarterly failover tests of JSP-supported systems to ensure operational integrity.
  • Establishing and maintaining Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) systems for the management of DoD PKI tokens across multiple sites.
  • Monitoring resource readiness and providing status updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Developing and maintaining content for the JSP DoD COOP Portal, ensuring accessibility and accuracy of information.
  • Supporting National Special Security Events and emergency management initiatives at continuity facilities.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, information systems, telecommunications, or a related field, along with 2-7 years of relevant experience.
  • DoDI 8570 IAT II certification in Information Assurance.
  • Current technical certification in Computing Environment.
  • Top Secret security clearance.
  • Proven experience in continuity operations within complex IT environments.
  • Strong understanding of DoD and Government COOP policies and procedures.
  • Familiarity with server technologies, including cloud computing and virtualization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ITILv4 certification.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to navigate between multiple buildings and facilities.
  • Occasional travel by land or air transportation.
