POSITION SUMMARY:
Snowcreek Consulting is seeking a Senior VDI Subject Matter Expert to provide support for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Joint Service Provider (JSP) under the Platform Services contract.
As the Senior VDI Subject Matter Expert, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering technical proficiency in managing the VMWare Virtual Desktop Infrastructure across various locations.
- Overseeing the maintenance of desktop image repositories and executing recomposes.
- Ensuring comprehensive network connectivity, security services, and management for the virtual desktop solution.
- Maintaining server equipment functionality and providing technical support for both physical and virtual machines.
- Administering VMWare software management, including vCenter and View.
- Managing Nutanix servers and other approved hardware, alongside network devices.
- Overseeing DaaS server maintenance, including patching and monitoring.
- Providing database support, server hardware maintenance, and creating configuration documentation and standard operating procedures.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, information systems, telecommunications, or related fields, along with 7 years of relevant experience.
- Information Assurance (IA) expertise.
Certifications:
- DoDI 8570 IAT II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA-Security).
- Recent and relevant technical certifications.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience managing VMWare View Horizon in server and client systems.
- Familiarity with Hewlett Packard Enterprise server hardware virtualization.
- Proficiency in Windows Server 2012 and Windows 7/10 environments.
- Experience with clustered application systems.
- Knowledge of application virtualization technologies such as MS AppV and Citrix.
- Experience with MS System Center Configuration Manager for application deployment.
- Ability to secure Operating Systems in compliance with DISA STIGs.
- Possession of VMWare VDI certifications.
- ITILv4 certification is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Capability to move throughout an office and between buildings.
- Ability to perform physical tasks as required.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
