(SA) is seeking a versatile, skilled
Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) activities.

The ARPA-H mission is to accelerate better health outcomes for everyone by supporting the development of high-impact solutions to society's most challenging health problems.

In support of ARPA-H and their mission, SA employees will exceed client expectations with high integrity and focused attention to milestones.

A successful
Subject Matter Expert (SME) candidate will incorporate the following skills and experiences:

  • Experience in biomedical science or infectious disease required. Experience in epigenetics, genomics, AI/ML or digital health are highly preferred.
  • Experience in technical, managerial or scientific fields and have expert credentials or be recognized as an authority and have the mature judgement required to advise senior government personnel.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Experience with basic and applied research and prior experience as a senior SETA contractor is highly desirable.
  • Experience managing R&D programs form inception to closeout is also highly desirable.
  • Individual will have demonstrated ability to make decisions independently on R&D engineering problems and methods, in resolving important questions, and planning and coordinating work.
  • Individual will have demonstrated experience in the use of advanced techniques, theories, precepts, and practices in a scientific or technological discipline

Qualification Requirements:

Education

  • PhD in Biomedical sciences, or related scientific field Clearance
  • HHS, NIH Public Trust (Ability to obtain) Experience
  • Experience in genetics or neuroscience , required. Background in Muscle biology, molecular or cell biology is highly preferred.
  • 10+ or more years in technical management or a scientific field. Experience in ARPA agencies preferred.
  • Experience with Advanced Research Project Agency (ARPA) model (i.e., DARPA, ARPA-E, IARPA, HSARPA) is preferred.
