We are in search of a Critical Infrastructure Subject Matter Expert (SME) to contribute to a pivotal project supporting the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) National Risk Management Center (NRMC) in the realm of Critical Infrastructure Risk Analysis. The NRMC plays a crucial role in CISA's mission by identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing strategic risks to essential national functions, while also collaborating on strategies to manage these risks effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive data analytics, including enterprise architecture and systems engineering.
- Perform detailed risk assessments, focusing on cyber threats and infrastructure vulnerabilities.
- Align requirements and capabilities to effectively understand and mitigate risks to critical infrastructure.
- Analyze systems and assets to pinpoint risks that may have cascading effects.
- Provide strategic planning support and program management assistance.
- Engage in analytical writing and data visualization tasks.
- Support potential increases in workload due to evolving risk management initiatives within the CISA and NRMC.
In the United States, there are seventeen (17) critical infrastructure sectors/sub-sectors essential to national security, economic stability, public health, and safety, including:
- Chemical Sector
- Commercial Facilities Sector
- Communications Sector
- Critical Manufacturing Sector
- Dams Sector
- Defense Industrial Base Sector
- Emergency Services Sector
- Energy Sector
- Financial Services Sector
- Food and Agriculture Sector
- Government Facilities Sector
- Healthcare and Public Health Sector
- Information Technology Sector
- Nuclear Reactors, Materials, and Waste Sector
- Transportation Systems Sector
- Water and Wastewater Systems Sector
- Election Systems
Essential Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of experience in engineering, operations research, or advanced computing, including AI.
- Advanced degrees in relevant fields such as engineering sciences.
- Proven expertise in risk identification, analysis, and mitigation in Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience at a national or Fortune 100 level.
- In-depth knowledge of engineered systems across the 16 Critical Infrastructure sectors.
- Possession of TS/SCI clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting National Security initiatives.
- Familiarity with NRMC and critical infrastructure protection strategies.
