About the Role

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) is seeking a highly skilled Technical Subject Matter Expert to provide technical and programmatic advisory services to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) program managers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to DARPA program managers on new projects and proposals
  • Assess laboratory and test results to identify technical risks and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Collaborate with research and development teams to identify and develop innovative solutions
Requirements
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in technical, managerial, or scientific fields with expert credentials
  • 10+ years of experience in DARPA programs, with a strong understanding of their goals and objectives
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions independently on R&D engineering problems and methods
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in fields such as Quantum, Optics, Photonics, Physics, Materials, Artificial intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML), Mathematics, Engineering, Chemistry, or Human Performance
  • Graduate degree in a STEM field with published articles in the field of expertise
  • Program Management Professional or equivalent certification
  • Prior experience as a DARPA Program Manager or SETA contractor, or 3-5 years supporting DARPA Program Managers on technical projects
