Job Overview

Position Summary

Our client, a prominent electrical contracting firm, is seeking a dedicated Office Administrator to enhance the efficiency of their construction operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth office management and providing essential support to the construction team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain employee onboarding documentation.
  • Manage records related to employee terminations.
  • Handle Payroll and Certified Payroll/Labor Compliance documentation on a weekly basis.
  • Possess knowledge of payroll processes, including taxes and deductions; familiarity with ADP is advantageous.
  • Maintain employee training records for both office and field requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of Monthly Fringe Benefit Reports.
  • Ensure effective Document Control.
  • Maintain compliance records for subcontractor vendors, including necessary waivers and releases.
  • Keep track of all licenses, insurances, and worker's compensation certifications.
  • Manage pre-qualifications for agencies and new clients.
  • Oversee the inventory of company assets.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in construction office administration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, Dropbox, and Google Drive.
  • Experience with construction accounting software, particularly Foundation, is a significant advantage.
  • Familiarity with labor compliance and union fringe benefit reporting is beneficial.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain productivity without direct supervision.
