Job Overview

RQC, LLC, a subsidiary of DPR Construction, is on the lookout for seasoned Architects and Designers with extensive experience in large-scale commercial, federal, and industrial projects valued at $25M or more. This role is integral to our design/build team, focusing on delivering integrated project solutions for the Department of Defense. Our projects are diverse, challenging, and span various geographical locations.

Team Dynamics: Our architectural team consists of over 25 professionals, including more than 10 licensed Architects. We leverage cutting-edge design and 3D technologies such as Revit and Navisworks to enhance our production and construction processes. We are seeking innovative thinkers to contribute to a collaborative culture that encompasses all facets of design/build, ensuring a holistic experience that is unparalleled.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Architecture or a Bachelor of Architecture degree is required.
  • A valid US Architectural License is mandatory for the Design Project Manager position.
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in facility design, programming, and construction documentation, with at least 5 years in managing commercial design projects valued at a minimum of $50M and covering at least 60,000 sq. ft. Experience with projects up to $100M is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy is essential.
  • Experience with the Department of Defense (DoD) is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with OSHPD regulations is a plus.
  • Specific software skills: Revit is required; proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Navisworks, and SpecsIntact is preferred but not mandatory.

We are looking for a candidate who excels in Project Management, leading multi-disciplinary teams, and facilitating project coordination across various disciplines. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in building codes, actively participate in developing 3D models in Revit, and possess the ability to write and edit specifications (experience with SpecsIntact is a plus). The Design Project Manager will lead design charrettes, government design meetings, and project team discussions while providing mentorship to team members.
