Job Summary: RQ Construction is seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent to join our West Coast Field Operations team. As a Construction Superintendent, you will be responsible for the daily supervision, direction, and coordination of all construction work activities, assigned employees, and subcontractors on a project job site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and direct construction work activities to ensure quality work, safety, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals and objectives are met.
  • Manage and supervise assigned employees and subcontractors to ensure efficient and effective project execution.
  • Monitor and control project costs, schedules, and resources to ensure project profitability and timely completion.
  • Develop and implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Collaborate with the project team to identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with project requirements and company standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Superintendent or similar role, with a proven track record of successful project execution.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College courses or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience working on government, military, or large commercial construction projects.
  • Knowledge of design-build industry and large-sized projects.
  • Spanish-English bilingual skills.
  • LEED GA/AP Credential.
