Position Overview

RQC, LLC. has established itself as a prominent entity in the commercial and governmental Design-Build sector since 1996. With a growing national footprint, our projects now extend across the United States.

Based in Carlsbad, CA, we operate as a comprehensive Design-Build firm, overseeing project management nationwide. Our expertise lies in expedited projects within new commercial construction, catering to both public and private sectors, with a significant emphasis on the Department of Defense.

We are seeking qualified candidates for the role of Construction Project Engineer (PE) to enhance our Field Operations team in Southern California. While our headquarters is in Carlsbad, project assignments may vary across the region. The PE will play a crucial role in supporting all phases of a commercial construction project, from initial concept to final execution. Responsibilities include administration, organization, planning, scheduling, coordination, and monitoring of project processes. For larger projects, certain project management duties may be assigned to the PE based on their experience and skill set.

Local candidates are preferred, though relocation to project sites may be necessary. The PE will collaborate on-site with various construction management professionals, including Project Managers, Superintendents, Quality Control Managers, and Site Safety and Health Officers.

If you are interested in launching your career in the design/build sector, this position offers the opportunity to contribute to significant projects for our military personnel. Work locations will primarily be on active military installations throughout Southern California. Compensation ranges from $65K to $95K annually, depending on experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field is required. Equivalent work experience and training may also be considered.
  • Proficiency in computer applications (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet, etc.) is essential.
  • Familiarity with specific software (Primavera 3/6, Viewpoint, BIM, Revit) is preferred.
  • Certifications in CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour are mandatory, with training available.
  • LEED GA credential is advantageous.
  • QCM certification is also desirable.
