Job Summary

The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking an experienced International Program Coordinator to provide administrative and program support for the Global Brain Health Institute (GBHI).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate administrative tasks for a cross-national research capacity building program in East Africa, including scheduling video conferences, developing protocols and manuals, and facilitating ethics submissions.
  • Provide guidance to investigators and managers in developing job descriptions and monitoring progress towards established goals.
  • Compile materials for new subcontracts and subcontract amendments, monitor invoicing, and contribute to progress reports.
  • Coordinate multi-national research committees and plan the annual in-person meeting of researchers.
  • Assist investigators and program managers with development of new grant proposals, including liaising with UCSF's pre-award team and preparing IRB and administrative documents.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 1 or more years of related work experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication, active listening, critical thinking, and persuasiveness.
  • Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong skills in short-term planning, analysis, problem-solving, and customer service.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of administrative operational activities, such as event planning, basic fundraising processes, and contracts and grants regulations and guidelines.
  • Solid knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs.
  • Familiarity with University rules and regulations, processes, protocols, and procedures for budget, accounting, and fund management, and/or personnel management.
