Job Summary

The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking an experienced International Program Coordinator to provide administrative and program support for the Global Brain Health Institute (GBHI). This role will be responsible for coordinating regular multi-site video conferences, developing protocols and manuals, facilitating ethics submissions, and monitoring overall progress towards established goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate administrative tasks for a cross-national research capacity building program in East Africa, including coordinating regular multi-site video conferences, developing protocols and manuals, facilitating ethics submissions, and monitoring overall progress towards established goals.
  • Provide guidance to investigators and managers in developing job descriptions at each site, and assist with the development of new grant proposals, including liaising with UCSF's pre-award team, preparing budgets and budget justifications, managing submission timelines, and preparing IRB and administrative documents for the grant submission.
  • Assist with the planning and coordination of the annual in-person meeting of researchers, and contribute to progress reports, coordinating multi-national research committees, and monitoring invoicing.
  • Work closely with the program manager and investigators to ensure the successful implementation of research projects, and provide administrative support for studies based in other regions of the world, including Latin America, as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 1 or more years of related work experience; or equivalent experience/training.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication, active listening, critical thinking, persuasiveness, advising, and counseling skills.
  • Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong skills in short-term planning, analysis, problem-solving, and customer service.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
