Objectives Summary

Essential Functions
- This role is primarily sedentary; however, some filing is required, necessitating the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as needed.
- Provides consistent administrative, reception, and secretarial services in support of the District Office.
- Handles clerical tasks such as photocopying, faxing, filing, and collating.
- Performs administrative responsibilities including providing information to callers, taking dictation, composing and typing routine correspondence, and managing incoming mail.
- Files correspondence and legal documents within the office filing system.
- Ensures proper indexing and filing of original legal documents.
- Assists in the procurement, receipt, stocking, and distribution of office supplies.
- Schedules court dates, meetings, and appointments, and coordinates conference calls.
- Processes eligibility applications for services rendered to the indigent, including money collection and explaining reimbursement contracts.
- Creates and maintains an organized filing system.
- Reviews, prepares, and utilizes web-based programs for the preparation of court dockets and other legal documents.
- May conduct daily court and mail runs, requiring a valid driver's license and current Defensive Driving Certification.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED with six (6) months of relevant clerical and/or secretarial experience utilizing legal terminology, procedures, and documents. A combination of education from an accredited institution in a related field and/or direct work experience may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Collective Bargaining: This position is governed by a collective bargaining agreement, and all terms and conditions of that agreement apply.
