Financial Administrator

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join the State of New Mexico as a Financial Administrator. In this role, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the financial team, ensuring compliance with agency established policies, procedures, processes, and statutory and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Inventory, and Time and Labor systems.
- Coordinate with the Licensing Manager and/or Licensing Coordinator to streamline the collection of fees, add new fees/licensing categories, and change fees.
- Provide assistance with personnel, benefits, budget, and other related tasks as assigned by the CFO/HR Manager.
- Associates Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or Accounting and two (2) years of directly related job experience in office administration, budgeting, purchasing, finance, accounting, auditing, cash management, and/or contract management.
- Experience with intermediate Excel spreadsheet, including downloads from SHARE and Pivot Functions.
- Experience with reconciling revenues in PeopleSoft SHARE Financials.
- Time and task management skills for meeting critical time deadlines to accomplish assigned work.
- Strong organizational skills and an understanding of the State government Executive Branch structure.
This position is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending, and reaching may be required.
