Administrative Consultant Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Consultant to support the National Trails Office in providing technical and financial assistance to governments, tribal nations, nonprofit, university, and private partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise on Federal budgeting and the accurate management of an office budget, including delivery of a reliable status of funds
  • Advise on office administration and leadership of a small administrative team
  • Provide general coaching as needed, and schedule and facilitate discussions in a virtual setting on a weekly basis
  • Advise on customer service – active listening, collaborating, and communicating effectively
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in NPS office administration, with latest experience in last three years OR BA/BS Degree in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Experience in a Federal office environment; ability to adapt to an NPS office that operates differently than most NPS park units
  • Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, FBMS, AFS, Quicktime, FPPS
