We are seeking a Civil/Site Project Engineer who will be instrumental in the design, planning, and execution of civil development projects for our clientele. This role will require you to utilize your expertise in site design and innovative problem-solving while working collaboratively with municipal agencies and institutions. You will be engaged in all phases of the design process, from initial concept to final plan submission, ensuring effective integration and optimal project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in all facets of Civil/Site Development Design projects:
    • Collaborate with Project Managers to gather data, conduct technical analyses, and prepare necessary permitting and construction documentation, including specifications and quality control plans.
    • Create Concept, Layout, Preliminary, and Final Engineering Plans.
    • Formulate erosion and sediment control strategies.
    • Design utility plans and manage utility relocations.
    • Assist in the preparation of permit applications.
  • Complete site layouts, utility and grading plans, stormwater analyses, and development permits.
  • Conduct civil engineering analyses and numerical evaluations using various software tools.
    • Perform hydrological assessments, develop hydraulic/drainage calculations, and obtain necessary permits.
  • Participate in field observations and inspections of construction activities.
  • Maintain communication with clients regarding project deliverables.
  • Support the development of project proposals and construction cost estimates.
  • Assist in managing project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Solid understanding of Civil Engineering principles and reporting standards.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D for various Civil/Site Design projects.
  • Excellent customer service skills, professionalism, and comfort in client interactions.
  • Able to manage multiple projects while maintaining a focus on quality.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team-oriented with a reliable and punctual work ethic.
  • Quality-minded and client-focused.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Civil/Site Design.
  • EIT or EI certification is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
