Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of construction projects from start to finish.
  • Examine project plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure technical correctness and adherence to regulations.
  • Facilitate communication among various stakeholders, including architects, contractors, and clients.
  • Organize and lead meetings to review project specifics, timelines, and progress updates.
  • Manage project documentation, ensuring that permits, drawings, and reports are current and accurate.
  • Track project advancement and modify plans as needed to meet deadlines and budgetary limits.
  • Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with specifications and safety standards.
  • Identify, evaluate, and address project risks and challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to acquire necessary materials, equipment, and labor.
  • Review and authorize change orders, ensuring proper communication and documentation.
  • Provide technical assistance and direction to the construction team and subcontractors.
  • Assist in resolving any construction-related issues that arise during the project.
  • Ensure that quality control protocols are implemented and followed by the construction team.
  • Support the preparation and distribution of project status reports to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the finalization and handover of completed projects to clients, ensuring all criteria are fulfilled.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 1-2 years of experience as a co-op and project engineer or in a similar role.
  • OSHA certification is required.
  • Familiarity with Viewpoint, Procore, and Phoenix scheduling software.
  • Experience with higher education construction projects is advantageous.
  • Adhere to all OSHA, EPA, ODH, and company-specific safety policies and procedures.
