DAY TO DAY:
Engage in a variety of stimulating projects that encompass infrastructure, industrial, commercial, and unique engineering challenges.
Our projects are primarily situated within a 60-90 mile radius of our office, ensuring minimal overnight travel.
A company vehicle may be provided or reimbursement for personal vehicle usage.Our current location is in west Columbus, with plans to transition to a new corporate office in New Albany.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct geotechnical investigations, site assessments, and risk analyses for various developments.
Oversee the training and supervision of laboratory technicians, maintain quality assurance and certifications, manage equipment inventory and calibration, and engage in client marketing and proposal development.
Work independently on extensive projects with guidance from the Department Manager.Provide project-specific direction, including preparing laboratory testing assignments, reviewing documentation, and ensuring the accuracy of testing results.
Compile geotechnical engineering reports.
Collaborate with clients on the technical aspects of projects.
Analyze soil laboratory test results.
Assist in planning and executing subsurface investigation programs, which includes interpreting project design plans, locating test borings, and coordinating underground utility clearance.
Engage in the design and analysis of earth embankments, retaining structures, and anchoring systems.Perform analysis and design for shallow and deep foundations, as well as slope stability assessments.
Monitor and uphold quality control standards and specifications.

Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology
PE License (strongly preferred)
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Minimum of 3 years' experience in consulting engineering across various civil projects
EIT or PE (Engineering in Training/Professional Engineer)
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Proficient in reading schematics, blueprints, and engineering drawings
Willingness to travel and physically navigate open terrain.
